Why is my most vivid memory of the Decanter that shooting....omg, when? around '69? My second strange memory is long about that same time (maybe same night) when my childhood friend, Sandy, who hung out with us in The Corridor (we were WSU students at the time) met her husband to be -- a hubby who was not to be shortly thereafter, post lovely girl-child and his inflated ego explosion. Both sound like unfortunate memories, but truly the best of the Decanter was the small, intimate venue and the great music by Shadowfax and others of which we were so damn lucky to have been a part (yes, I always felt we were part of that whole, that brillant, electrifying, exhilerating whole, even not being the musicians ourselves). |
