Is that old funeral home still there (somewhere near the Unitarian church). We played a couple of shows there...what a cool place, embalming sinks and all. Reminds me of the Fisher hhome in Six Feet Under. What ever happened to Dean and Sybil? |

Yeah - loved that place. The Layabouts used to use it for practice. |

Who all was in the layabouts? I remember you and the Franklin Brothers and I think one of my art teachers;I can picture him, but can't think of his name. Do you know Maribel Restrepo? She's the guitarist from the Detroit Cobras. I talked to her today. She used to be in Fresh Hell and she is one cooool lady. She still lives down there in Woodbridge. She was telling me some Detroit tales, like that the kids in the hood just burned down the house next door to hers and she's happy because she doesn't have any neighbors now! Noone seems to know the whereabouts of Rodrriguez or Rockabilly Rudy Kowalski. I love those guys. |
