I'm very saddened to hear of this. Jim was a good friend to all of us in The Ghost Band. Please do pass on the funeral/memorial info as you hear of it.

Jim was a very good friend to me and a wonderful writer. I loved how intelligent and eccentric he was. I loved getting dressed up like the 40s and driving around in an old time car with him. I have know him for 40 years and have been wondering where he was for a while. I thought maybe he was living happily in Mexico. He loved Mexico. It is so weird that I found his name today on the net, a few days after he died. Here's to you, friend, Jim, you did do it your way.

I am likewise sad to read of Jim's passing and its adds further to knowing that all that was passes beyond held only in the memories of people once there and the stories they pass on.

Jim, and BRDC, played pivotal roles in our lives even though our distribution company was located in Madison WI-Wisconsin Independent News Distributors, and Minneapois-Isis.

From Bill Morris, Ronnie Cummins, Milton Griepp, Gary Spears and many others farewell and we shall all meet again.

I remember when he had to do some time in the Wayne County Jail in 1970 and they cut his hair off. Whatever happened to his wife and kids?
