Hey y'all! I'm a Detroiter transplanted to New Orleans - lived in the Corridor & gigged with my band Cathouse tons in the late 80's early 90's. Alvin's was one of our favorite gigs.
I'm trying to find some historical data on the Alvin's 25th anniversary show and hope someone out there can help me. What year was it? Does anyone have video or pix of it? Or of any of our gigs at Alvin's? Anyone know what happened to Dean, the really awesome sound guy who worked there?
I'd LOVE to have these memories brought back to me - I lost SO MUCH archival stuff in the floods of Hurricane Katrina and am hoping to recoup some of those good good times. contact me at croweau@hotmail.com
